Los Angeles witnessed widespread celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage show countless of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

In contrast, the team owner was met with a cooler reception at the rally. Video footage from the event seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a combination of cheers and jeers, with jeers punctuating his address.
The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
